Position: Associate Pastor - Cantonese Ministry & Connect/Welcoming

Part-Time (3 days/week) I 2-Year Contract

Location: Doncaster East, VICTORIA

Templestowe Baptist Church (TBC) is a vibrant, multicultural church committed to making disciples of Jesus and building a welcoming community. We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Associate Pastor to lead our Cantonese Ministry and oversee our Connect/Welcoming ministries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide spiritual leadership, pastoral care, and preaching to our Cantonese-speaking congregation;

• Plan and lead Cantonese worship services in line with TBC's vision;

• Mentor and equip leaders and volunteers within the Cantonese ministry;

• Oversee and strengthen the church's Connect & Welcoming ministries to foster hospitality and belonging;

• Train and support volunteers to welcome and integrate newcomers into church life;

• Collaborate with the Senior Pastor, staff, and ministry teams on church-wide initiatives.

ABOUT YOU:

• Have a mature and growing faith in Jesus Christ;

• Fluency in spoken and written Cantonese and English (mandatory);

• Strong pastoral, communication, and leadership skills;

• Experience in multicultural ministry and a heart for evangelism and discipleship;

• Theological training (preferred);

• Willingness to align with the vision, values, and theological framework of TBC and the Baptist Union of Victoria;

• Hold (or willing to obtain) a Working with Children Check, Police Check, and Safe Church Training.

REMUNERATION:

• As per Baptist Union of Victoria guidelines, commensurate with experience and qualifications;​

• Includes superannuation and agreed leave entitlements.
